New Music

Drink & Song is here!

At long last, our new 5-song CD -- Drink & Song -- is in hand.

It's my first recorded music in seven years. Hot dog!

What’s on the disc?

"Drinking" - a mid-tempo, countried rocker that chronicles focused time at the bar : You elbow me, "How 'bout this war, man?"/ See the glass in my hand?/I'm drinking/Who cares what the President's thinking"

"Yepperdoodle" - a hillbilly-rock love song a la Carl Perkins circa 2009: "I love you more than the French love the poodle/Yepperdoodle"

"Maintaining a 2.0" - a winking roadhouse ode to college life and the balancing act between class time and bar time. If you add my GPA/ To my BAC/ The number will show/ I’m maintaining a 2.0

"Half a Bed to Spare" - a cha-cha-beat fool's lament to a partially filled bed. Dwight-esque, hopefully.

"Hellbound Party Train" - a minor-chord cautionary tale about the pitfalls of unrestrained consumption. My pals in the Railbenders did a sunnier version of the song on an earlier CD. "Chug-a-lug's our sad refrain/On the hellbound party train

Who are the pros playing the songs? Guitarist Zach Boddicker, bassist Scott Johnson and drummer Clay Bielman. (AKA the Great Unknowns).

We recorded the songs at Notably Fine Audio (NFA) in Denver, Colin Bricker and Mario Casillio recorded and mixed it.
